On Friday 3rd February, as part of Maths and Science Week, Science Society hosted a games workshop in which students had to design their own games with a scientific theme. There was a wide variety of spectacular games, ranging from board games such as ‘Blast Off' to 3D structures like ‘The Tower of Forces.'
Students came up with very innovative names for their games, including ‘Mental Fashion' and ‘Moonopoly.' One game, ‘Moleculopoly', even had its own set of science themed Chance cards, for example: ‘Give blood, feel drowsy - miss a turn!'
The amount of effort that the students put in was reflected in the very high quality of the games, with one student dedicating over 35 hours to make her game! The results of this competition will be announced next week.
