NLCS students joined the London Handel Players in a concert at St Lawrence's Church, Edgware, the first time the school has been included as part of the London Handel Festival.
The student Chamber Orchestra wowed the audience with music from Handel's Concerto Grosso Opus 3 No 4, which the girls directed themselves for the first time.
The London Handel Players, conducted by Adrian Butterfield, gave a beautiful rendition of the Chandos Anthems 1-3 which were written to be performed at St Lawrence's and it was lovely to hear them in their intended surroundings.
The audience had booked tickets for the event through the Festival booking office and included Sue Merron (ONL 1961), who had travelled all the way from Devon for the day to take part in the events as her old school and her old church.
