Mufti day with a twist
On Friday 20th May, girls came in ‘mufti' with a twist. To show their support for the charity the Environmental Investigation Agency, staff and students added one piece of animal-print to their own clothes and were asked to give a donation to help support the charity's work in fighting environmental crime across the world. Many participated, with some even donning full animal suits for the cause. The event raised over £300- thank you NLCS!
The EIA is the Year 8 Charity Committee's chosen charity for this academic year. The committee will be continuing to support this worthwhile cause through events in the summer term. Money raised will go towards saving the lives of millions of rare and endangered animals and putting a stop to the devastating effects of environmental criminals. But it's not all about money- raising awareness is JUST as important! If you'd like to support the charity in other ways, take a look at their website: http://www.eia-international.org/index.shtml.
