On Tuesday 11th October, students from Years 11 & 12 delighted their audience with performances of published monologues and duologues. The event named Glimmers was held in the Performing Arts Centre and was staged to give our experienced performers the opportunity to develop their repertoire. Material ranged from a monologue from Shakespeare's Richard III to a brand new piece about animal use in biomedical research. Once again, girls were joined by Year 13 boys from The John Lyon School who presented a number of monologues and joined the girls for a range of duologue performances. The evening flowed beautifully as pieces were linked together with a series of highly polished introductions and an exciting soundtrack. It was a wonderful evening and a real pleasure to see so many talented performers in action.
