Shockwaves - the West End comes to the PAC
The Yr 6 girls sang their hearts out, danced their socks off and acted like true professionals in their production of Shockwaves, based on the exciting musical, Hairspray. Rarely has a more talented group of 10-11 year olds been seen in the same show - except on the West End stage! Their American accents were impeccable and their characterisation was terrific. Their energy was unbelievable and the audience of parents, grandparents and staff could not help themselves - they just got up and danced in the aisles! Director, Mrs Skinner, produced a phenomenal show and, as ever, Mr Haythornthwaite, provided the fantastic musical backing.
The show was followed by the Yr 6 party and staff and parents alike threw themselves into the spirit by dressing 1960s style!
