On Monday afternoon Emily Sherwood (6S), Arabella Zuckerman (6R), Romy McCarthy (5P) and Matilda Sidel (5W), all very active members of the Lower School Debating Club, had a telephone interview with a producer at Channel 4 to see what they knew about child poverty. Young though they are, they were all very thoughtful and sensitive and expressed concerns about healthcare, education and lack of basic facilities for children growing up in poverty, both in the UK and further afield.
Matilda, who is 9, was invited to come into the Channel 4 studio to be filmed for a programme that is scheduled to go out in January.
4thought.tv is a series of highly personal short films, broadcast daily, reflecting a broad range of religious and ethical issues, and aspects of our spiritual lives. These 90-second films challenge some traditional views, providing a platform for both scepticism and devout religious beliefs.
