On 7th October author Steve Cole, creator of the Astrosaurs' series and numerous other children's novels, came to school to present Nicole Kitsberg from Year 5 with a set of books and a certificate for her prize winning entry in his competition: Design a New Astrosaur. As part of the prize he also entertained the whole of years 4 and 5 with details about his work. The audience were kept laughing throughout as he animatedly explained how he came up with new names for characters and let his imagination run riot to produce his unique storylines. In the process the girls all became involved in developing their own original plot and hope to put his ideas into practice when planning future essays.
