Last Friday in the glorious sunshine, the Lower School participated in their annual Rainbow Sports Day. It was a wonderful afternoon with girls from Yrs 3 to 6, each in their rainbow team, taking part in events such as high jump, long jump and hurdles. There were also a number of traditional races including the egg and spoon race, sack race and 3 legged race.
Everyone participated with great enthusiasm, cheering on fellow team members in hope that their team would win the Sports Day and the Rainbow Cup. Our congratulations go to winners, the mauve team, with the white team coming in 2nd place and black team in 3rd place.
The event would not have been possible without the P.E. department, especially to Miss Newsome who organised the afternoon. Special thanks also go to the Parents' Guild, manning the refreshment stall with delicious strawberries and cream.
