On Wednesday 30th November the girls in Year Five immersed themselves in Indian Culture for their India Day.

Activities included preparing and tasting a variety of Indian food (the smells filling the remainder of the First and Junior Schools with envy) and learning a strenuous Indian dance from the Bollywood film "Lagaan".

In the afternoon they finished their day by learning about the life of Mohandas Ghandi. This thoroughly enjoyable experience enhanced their understanding of the topic about India that they are studying this term.
