Years 3 and 4 won all the Oscars once again with their stunning performances of Cinderella and the Selfish Giant. The girls sang, danced and acted like professionals. They learnt their lines, their songs and their moves with great efficiency and delivered them with panache. The girls were wonderfully supported by their music teachers. Miss White accompanied both productions on the piano, Mr Berryman played his flute for the Y4 performance and Mr Aldridge kept the tempo on the drums.
A huge thank you goes to the marvellous mums, who created all the classy costumes and managed the make-up for almost 100 girls! It was a real team effort. They certainly deserved the delicious mince pies on offer after the performance and all agreed that it was an excellent start to the festive season.
Mrs Skinner (Cinderella) and Miss Atkinson (Selfish Giant) directed the plays with vision, enthusiasm and astonishing calm! It's no mean feat to get 98 girls on the stage, made up, word perfect and brim full of excitement, performing to a very high standard - all in two hours!
