Linguistic success..

Kate Parker and Sophie Duker in Yr 13 took part in the National French Debating Finals at Sevenoaks, having already won the North London finals at Highgate School in November. They acquitted themselves very well, losing only one of their debates and speaking with fluency and conviction. Well done to both girls!

Also, Martha Marcuson in Yr 13 entered the National Canning House essay competition for Spanish. She performed exceptionally well and her essay in Spanish on the environment in Latin America won second prize overall. Martha was presented with a cheque for £150 at Canning House by the environmentalist Zac Goldsmith.

It is a remarkable achievement to finish second in such an illustrious competition, one which attracted well over 100 entries from Sixth formers from all over the country.
