The school offers students the opportunity of sitting a number of other public examinations.
University Pre-admission Tests
Some courses at specific universities require applicants to sit additional tests: BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT); English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT); Oxford Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA); History Aptitude Test (HAT); UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT); National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT); Physics Aptitude Test (PAT); Modern Language Admissions Test (MLAT); Mathematics; Classics; Computer Science. These all run in the Autumn term and are part of the UCAS process. For BMAT, ELAT, Oxford TSA, HAT and PAT exams, students must enter through the school. Any girl intending to sit one of these tests must bring to the Examinations Office a copy of their UCAS form, which contains the personal details, course codes and university choices (including the individual colleges) which are necessary for entries to be submitted successfully. Entries for other pre-admissions tests are either automatically generated by the University (Maths, Classics, Modern Languages and Computer Studies) or must be entered individually via the appropriate websites (UKCAT, LNAT). Cambridge TSA tests will take place during the interview process.
BMAT, ELAT, HAT, Oxford TSA, PAT, MLAT, Classics and Mathematics examinations take place on Wednesday 2nd November 2011 at 8:45am. Please note that all BMAT, ELAT and Oxford TSA candidates are required to bring their statement of entry with them.
Advanced Extension Awards / STEP
One or more of these papers are taken by a small number of students for whom it is required as part of their university offer. Entry requests for this examination must be submitted on the appropriate form to the Examinations Office by Tuesday 12th March 2012.
Please note that the only AEA available in summer 2012 will be in Mathematics.
The AEA/STEP Form will be available to download from February.
