This is a Middle School book club which meets every Tuesday in the fiction section of the library.
All girls from Yrs 7 to 9 are invited to the “tea party”, and the aim of the club is for girls to discuss and explore books with each other. The club is run by a highly enthusiastic and dedicated Yr 12 committee, who are devoted to making sure the sessions are vibrant, varied and exciting. Examples of books that have been discussed include “Little Women”, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and “Pride and Prejudice.”
Participants of the group are sustained throughout the lively discussions with a plentiful supply of “tea party” fare, including lots of cake! This is a very exciting initiative which promises to enrich the extra-curricular life of the Middle School.
Mad hats are provided…!
