In January 2007, a group of Yr 8 girls from Henrietta Barnett attended a workshop with Yr 8 girls from North London Collegiate, which was based on the theme of storytelling.
The girls took part in a wide variety of activities, ranging from presenting a dramatic interpretation of their own creative work to researching and learning about some of our most famous story-tellers, such as Chaucer. The girls even managed to translate a section of The Canterbury Tales from Middle English into modern language, a considerable achievement seeing as they had never encountered Middle English before!

The girls also greatly enjoyed meeting new people, as illustrated by the flurry of email exchanging which took place at the end of the day. The English Department is looking forward to developing these links with Henrietta Barnett in the future.
