Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh`s Award is very popular at North London. It encourages the social and psychological development of the individual in broadening one's outlook in life.

It is intended to help build the girls self-discipline, esteem and confidence as well as the ability to belong to a team and to communicate within it.

The four sections of the Award (Service, Skill, Physical Recreation and Expedition) lend themselves to encouraging enthusiasm, voluntary commitment, determination and the awareness of the needs of others whilst working towards a challenging goal.
