Yr 5 Outing...
The Yr 5 classes enjoyed a visit to the Houses of Parliament and the National Gallery on 26th November. They were given an extensive tour of both Houses and heard many an interesting anecdote, including the fact that it is illegal to die in the House! They then took a walk up Whitehall, looking at The Cenotaph and Downing Street, hearing the tale of the final hours of Charles I as they went.
At the National Gallery, they spent time looking at pictures that tell a story, including Peter Paul Rubens' 'Autumn Landscape with a View of Het Steen'. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
