We are delighted to welcome prospective parents and their daughters to the school and offer many opportunities throughout the school year to do so. Please see details below for specific events.

If you are unable to attend any of our events you are most welcome to visit the School by prior appointment.

Open Evenings

Our Open Evenings give prospective parents who live or work in these areas an opportunity to learn about the School.

Senior staff from both the Senior and Junior School will be joined by current and former pupils to talk about life at North London, our transport system and the admissions process. To register your attendance please click on the links below.

Please note that these Open Evenings are in addition our usual Taster Afternoons, School in Action Mornings and Open Mornings which are held at the School in the Spring, Summer and Autumn Terms.

Taster Mornings (11+ Entry in 2018)

We suggest that all girls considering applying for a place at 11+ attend one of our Taster Mornings which will be held in the Autumn term. This gives girls the opportunity to try out life at North London Collegiate School for the morning and participate in activities in a number of different subjects.

The Taster Morning sessions are only available to girls sitting the 11+ Entrance Examinations for Year 7 entry in September 2018 as they will be participating in school year group appropriate lessons.

There will be a talk for parents by the Headmistress and a panel of staff and current students will be available to answer your questions. We will also provide a guided tour of the school for parents whilst the girls are enjoying their lessons.

Timings for Taster Mornings are 9.15am until approximately 12.30pm.

Dates for the Autumn will be available soon.

Open Afternoons (11+ Entry for 2019 and beyond)

Entry in 2019 and beyond

Throughout the year we hold a number of Open Afternoons for parents and their daughters to visit us on a normal school day. These events are open to families whose daughters will be looking to enter the School in September 2019 or later. The event is designed to give prospective families information about North London and our admissions process. 

Timings for Open Afternoons are 1.15pm until approximately 3.35pm.

Places are limited so parents are requested to reserve a place in advance. We are currently finalising event dates for the Autumn Term, so if you would like to register your interest in attending please complete this online form and we will contact you once dates have been confirmed.

Entry in 2018

If your daughter is looking for entry in September 2018, will be holding Taster Mornings in the Autumn term and you can register your interest in attending by completing this online form.

School in Action/Taster Mornings (4+ & 7+ Entry)

A number of School in Action mornings and 7+ Taster mornings will be offered between May and November 2017. 

Parents of girls considering applying for a place at 4+ or 7+ are invited to come to one of our School in Action mornings, to give parents the opportunity to look around the Junior School whilst lessons are in progress. The morning includes a tour of the school and a talk from the Head of the Junior School giving information about the admissions process. Junior School girls act as tour guides, showing parents around the classrooms and the school facilities.

In the Autumn Term we will be offering Taster mornings to prospective 7+ girls (2018 entry) whilst parents attend a School in Action morning. Girls attend two taster lessons and break time which gives them a flavour of Junior School life here at North London Collegiate School. If you would like your daughter to come to a 7+ Taster morning, please book your visit for the same date.

Timings for School in Action and 7+ Taster Mornings are 9.45am until approximately 11.30am.

  • Friday 19th May 2017 - Fully Booked
  • Wednesday 7th June 2017
  • Friday 23rd June 2017

Combined School in Action /7+ Taster mornings, for parents and 7+ girls to attend together, take place in the Autumn term. Dates for these mornings will be posted in September.

Numbers for School in Action and Taster Mornings are limited and attendance is by appointment only.

Please provide the names of those who wish to attend, a contact email and telephone number and your postcode, together with your daughter's name, current school and date of birth. Please note that School in Action mornings are for parents only. The best time to bring your daughter to see the school is to our main Open Day on 23rd September (10.00am-12.30pm).

Sixth Form Open Afternoons

If you would like to find out more about life in the Sixth Form at North London please come along to one of our Open Afternoons, these are held throughout the year.

In the Autumn term we hold an Open Afternoon followed by a Course Consultation in which you will have the opportunity to find out more about the IB Diploma and A Level courses in each subject. There will be opportunities to ask questions and speak with members of our Sixth Form staff.

Information about scholarships and bursaries will also be available

The events start at 1.30pm with a talk from the Headmistress at 2pm, followed by tours of the school and our facilities. The Course Consultation will be held at 4.15pm-5.15pm.

We are currently finalising dates for this year, which will be published in due course.

Junior School Annual Open Morning 2017 (4+ & 7+ entry)

The next Annual Junior School Open Morning will take place on Saturday 23rd September at 10am - 12.30pm.

Visitors will be able to have tours of the school, see our splendid facilities, participate in activities and hear from the Head of Junior School and the girls about the curriculum, extra-curricular activities and life at North London Collegiate School.

Our Junior School Open Morning provides the perfect opportunity for parents to bring their daughters to visit the School. They will be able to follow a 'Junior School Trail', experience the activities and visit the classrooms used for the assessments. 

All are welcome at this event and no appointment is necessary to attend Open Day.
