Teacher of Mathematics

TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

Required for September 2017 (applications for January 2018 will also be considered)

An excellent opportunity for a well-qualified Mathematician to join this large and successful department. The ability to communicate enthusiasm for the subject is essential. The post will involve teaching throughout the School from Year 7 to Sixth Form level.  Suitable candidates will have the opportunity to teach Further Mathematics and be involved in Oxbridge preparation.

In addition to candidates with experience, or those embarking on their NQT year, we warmly welcome applications from recent university graduates or career-changers with no formal teaching experience. The school offers an innovative on-the-job route to qualification, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, which has successfully allowed a number of teachers to train and qualify during their first year of teaching. The school pays all of the fees for this programme, with those undertaking the programme teaching around 80% of a full timetable, and having dedicated time for mentoring and professional development.

Founded by Frances Mary Buss in 1850, North London Collegiate School is a highly academic girls’ independent day school which occupies a superb 30 acre site in Canons Park, North West London.

An enthusiastic, ambitious and committed musician required from either September 2017 or January 2018 to teach in this highly successful department.  We are looking to appoint a class music teacher who has a music degree, good pianistic skills, who is prepared to get immersed fully into the music making at the School.  The role will include classroom teaching from KS3 and further. The post will also be responsible for the oversight and direction of several choirs and the development of choral singing throughout the School.
